Sean Thompson

Sean Thompson serves as Chief Growth Officer for CBRE Government & Defense Services, where he leads enterprise growth strategy, business development, and client engagement across defense, federal civilian, state and local, and high-trust commercial markets. With more than 25 years of executive experience in operations and sales, Sean is known for building high-performance growth teams and positioning companies for sustained success and strategic acquisition.

Prior to joining CBRE, Sean served as Chief Growth Officer for IDEMIA North America, where he led enterprise business development and capture operations across biometrics, identity, and public safety sectors. Under his leadership, the company achieved 25% year-over-year growth in Total Contract Value Won for two consecutive years.

Previously, Sean was Vice President of Growth at Unisys Federal, where he revitalized a declining business line and drove 54% annual revenue growth—the fastest among the Federal Top 100 contractors at the time. He also held senior growth leadership roles at Sotera Defense Solutions, iGov, IBM, and American Management Systems, overseeing complex business development and operational programs for federal clients across national security, defense, and IT modernization.

Sean holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University, as well as a Master of Science in Information Technology from the University of Virginia.
