Professional Experience

Patrick Roddy is the Sector President for CBRE Government & Defense, which provides integrated real estate, facilities, construction, and consulting services to U.S. and allied government agencies, the defense industrial base, and high-trust commercial clients. The business operates with more than 5,000 global professionals at over 250 client locations across 20 countries to deliver full lifecycle solutions in support of mission-critical environments.

Patrick is deeply experienced in transforming and optimizing legacy systems, scaling acquired businesses, and leading cross-functional strategies across defense, energy, healthcare, infrastructure, and secure commercial sectors.

Prior to his current role, Patrick served as Executive Vice President of Operations at J&J Worldwide Services, where he led operational integration efforts following its acquisition by CBRE. His focus included aligning delivery systems, optimizing client care, and expanding capabilities to support both federal and commercial clients.

Before joining CBRE, Patrick was President of American Facilities Professionals, where he expanded the firm’s national offerings across facilities management, infrastructure services, and consulting. Under his leadership, the company was recognized by Inc. 5000 as one of the top 7% fastest-growing private companies in the United States.

Earlier in his career, Patrick served as a U.S. Army Infantry officer, attaining the rank of Colonel. His assignments included command of the 3rd Infantry Regiment (“The Old Guard”), command of an airborne infantry battalion in the 82nd Airborne Division, and service as Chief of Staff to the U.S. Military’s Chief Operating Officer.

Patrick holds a masters degree in National Resource Strategic from the National Defense University’s Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Resource Strategy and a bachelors degree in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross.
